February Favourites
Welcome back! Today’s post is all about what I loved in February! February was a weird time for me not uploading so I made sure to find some new favourites which I think you will be interested in! From makeup, jewellery to music, I have a lot of what I loved this month and I hope you do too!
Choker-Necklace Combo
I’ve really gotten into jewellery since I got my ears pierced and I used to wear this choker nearly every day so I decided to get back into it and I’ve started wearing a combination of the choker and a necklace and I am really loving it. I got the choker from Primark and the necklace pictured above is from Statement-Made Jewellery!
Revolution Fast Base Concealer
I love Revolution concealers and this is no different. Since I had the fast base stick foundation, I wanted to try something new and this hasn’t let me down! It’s a little different to the conceal and define concealer but it still works really well. There’s very little creasing and it brightens my undereye really nicely. I don’t really like the sponge as the applicator but it does spread the product evenly and quickly!
Collection Incredibrow
Now that I have to do my brows, I was on the lookout for brow gel or a setter because even tho they’re thinner, my brows are still crazy because they’re thick. I picked this up randomly and have fallen in love with it! Especially when I’m not wearing makeup and just want to keep my brows in place. It sets them perfectly and it’s just the right shade for my brows. They have a few shades and I think it’s still £1.99 so a bargain, I must say!
Planoly
Now that I plan my content in advance, I knew I needed an app to help show me how to plan grid on Instagram and Planoly was the recommended app which I have used before but I got lazy and couldn’t be bothered. Now that I have my content a week in advance, this app is a HUGE help. I can see how my grid will look, plan the next posts and you can even schedule and post from the app too! It is a good way to pre-write captions for the week as it helps you delete 5 minutes from each day to writing a perfect caption.
I do love this app and although I tend not to use the schedule part of the app, it is a huge help in planning what comes next on my grid and for free, I can’t really complain. I have talked about the sister app to this, StoriesEdit on my blog before and I still use that to this day to create beautiful Instagram stories. I will be doing a full blog post on apps to help bloggers soon so keep an eye out for that this month!
Revolution Reloaded Palette – Velvet Rose
I know you’re all tired of hearing me rave about Revolution but honestly, I just can’t help it. It’s cheap and the products are the bomb. I recently have fallen in love with the Velvet Rose Reloaded palette. I seriously am in love with the palette. It has the most amazing colours to create a smokey eye with and I’m here for it. I normally use this on a daily basis too to create a brown subtle look. It has two types of shimmers as well. One is more of a glitter consistency and it’s more prominent in the pan.
Morphe Foundation Brush
It’s been a hot minute since I used a brush instead of a beauty sponge to blend my foundation in but when I got these brushes, I wanted to try it because I always get bored blending my foundation in. I love using this brush because I can use it to blend the product into my skin and then I go over it with a sponge and my base looks incredible. It takes less time too which is a necessity in my busy life. I got this in a set but I think you can buy theme individually from the Morphe website.
Heart Earrings
As I now have my ears pierced, I am OBSSESED with earrings and I picked these up from Yours Clothing and I have been wearing them so much since I was allowed to change my earrings! They are so pretty and they don’t hurt my ears at all. With my ears getting used to different types of earrings, I was really surprised they didn’t flare up when putting these in. I love wearing these and they are only £4.99 so not too pricey but a better price than other shops!
Revolution Eyeliner
I have been searching for a good eyeliner for about two years now and I think I found it! It was £4/5 and it stays on all day! I mean all day, it’s so hard to take off at the end of the day but that’s what I wanted. With past eyeliners, they just come off during the day but there’s something in this that is like a sharpie on skin! (although it doesn’t leave marks when you take it off) It is such a good eyeliner that I already need a new one because I’ve used it that much! The wand is super thin but flexible to get that perfect line!
