Schwartz Chilli Con Carne Recipe Mix | AD
Welcome to my new site! I hope you all like it as I do. There will be changes to the theme and things this week but I’m hoping to get everything sorted by the end of the week! I was recently approached by Schwartz to use their recipe mix to create a Chilli con Carne! By now, you all know I love food so I leapt at the chance to review this! This post is sponsored but as always, my views and thoughts are always my own!

So when it arrived, I didn’t know that it was the Hot mix and not the normal but that meant I didn’t need to add extra chilli powder into the chilli. I decided to use the slow cooker for this recipe because I find slow-cooker chilli better than normal.

So for the chilli, I only used peppers, mushrooms and onions but I didn’t want to overload the chilli with a lot of veggies.
After cutting up the veg, browning the onions, garlic and the beef mince, it was time to assemble and add in the recipe mix!

So after I added the meat, vegetables and sauce, it was time for the recipe mix! The smell of chilli was super strong but I know it was going to be a good taste once everything had cooked and combined! After whacking it on full and leaving it to cook for a few hours, below was the result!

Served with some rice and sour cream, this was one of the best slow cooker meals I’ve had! I loved the taste and the recipe mix definitely helped the flavours come together. Even though I’m not the best with spice, this was really delicious! I loved the heat of it and the flavours were so good. I served around 5 people with this mix and they all had so many compliments. I didn’t even do much so it had to have been the recipe mix! I loved using this mix and they have so many more which I will be buying for future meals!
If you did want to get your hands on one of these Chilli Con Carne recipe mixes, Tesco sell them for £0.85! They’re so cheap and make your dinner taste so good!
Overall, I was really impressed with this recipe mix. I have used something like this before but it wasn’t the best. These are so cheap and bring so much flavour to the meal. I only seasoned with salt and pepper but the recipe mix brought out the best flavours!

I want to make this with the same mix. How much water should I use? Just the amount it says on the pack, 125ml? It seems a small amount. Want to cook it for around 4 hours, should it be on high or low? Thanks
